On-site training

Our on-site training is organized in the form of intensive workshops. We offer you the opportunity to participate in 2 consecutive days, which are an occasion to learn about and train in Podologie Equine Libre. There are 3 levels of competence. Each level consists of a theoretical part including technical elements and a practical part so that you can apply the method yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the course be funded by my OPCO or by VIVEA?

We are not yet QUALIOPI certified. Therefore, you cannot use your CPF or your Competence Operator (OPCO) to complete your training.
VIVEA fully funds on-site training (excluding administrative fees) for agricultural business leaders.

What are the objectives of PEL 1?

The level 1 course will lead you to:
– Discover the functioning of the horse’s hoof through Guillaume Parisot’s research.
– Learn the reference points that will allow you to map the hoof for its maintenance.
– Know how to use the tools to properly perform this maintenance.

What are the objectives of PEL 2?

The level 2 course will allow you to:
– Deepen your knowledge of the functioning of the horse’s hoof and link it to its health.
– Discover hoof pathologies and problems.
– Refine your practice in managing equine hoof maintenance.

What are the objectives of PEL 3?

The level 3 course will lead you to:
– Analyze locomotor system problems: pathology, disability, anatomical specificity.
– Propose rehabilitation solutions to improve the overall health of the equid.
– Acquire an adapted and precise gesture according to the pathologies.

Will I be autonomous in trimming after PEL 1?

The course program provides a pedagogical and technical framework that allows you to start managing the routine maintenance of your equid’s barefoot hooves outside of pathologies. PEL is based on reliable and reproducible benchmarks. The trainee’s level of diligence, motivation, and skill will determine their level of success, but the level 1 knowledge has enabled hundreds of owners to manage their horses’ hooves with a very good level of success. Levels 2 and 3 will allow you to increase your skills and manage more complex cases.

Do I need prerequisites to join the training?

Yes, because the course content is quite substantial. It requires having some notions to avoid being overwhelmed by too much theoretical knowledge in such a short time. We send a preparation document to help you validate these prerequisites. However, it is strongly recommended to read the blog articles beforehand to familiarize yourself with the terms and principles of PEL.

Will I have support after the course?

We have set up a private Facebook group to help you with your first trimmings after the course. You can post photos and ask questions to the community, especially to more advanced trainees. Our trainers, including Guillaume Parisot, intervene in this group if necessary.

What does the course fee include?

The course price includes:
– The trainer’s remuneration and travel expenses,
– The rental of the hosting facility,
– The paper course material,
– The resin educational kit that will serve as a model for your practice after the course.
On the first day of the course, we welcome you with pastries and hot drinks for a small convivial moment before starting your training.

Can I get a refund in case of cancellation?

In case of inability to attend this training, we will not be able to refund you or transfer you to another course (except in cases of force majeure). However, you can be replaced under certain conditions (we set up a waiting list for each course).
